Ingredients
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 2 medium Vidalia onions, sliced thinly
- 1-2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
- 1 TBSP sugar or honey (raw for clean eating)
Directions
- Heat olive oil in a medium non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Make sure the oil is hot, then add sliced onions, stirring to coat in oil. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until onions start to become translucent. Add 1 TBSP of apple cider vinegar and sugar or honey. Stir to coat and let sit in the pan for 10 minutes without stirring so onions can develop their caramelization. If the pan seems dry, add more apple cider vinegar as needed. Stir and cook for 7-8 more minutes or until onions are soft and turn a golden brown.
