Clean Eating Baked Apple Chips

Clean Eating Baked Apple Chips
Makes 60 apple chips

Ingredients

  • 2 apples, sliced thin (about 30 slices per apple)
  • Sprinkles of cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with wax paper or use a baking rack on top of a baking sheet. This is to prevent the apples from sticking. Slice apples to about 1/8 in thickness and lay out on sheet. If available, use a mandolin. Sprinkle with desired amount of cinnamon.
  2. Bake for 60 minutes. Remove from oven and flip apples. Bake for an additional 60 minutes. At the end of the 60 minutes, turn off oven but let apples rest in oven for 30 more minutes. It's possible the apples may need a little longer in the oven to achieve a crispier texture.  Bake in 10 minutes increments, checking the texture until desired crispness is achieved.
