Healthy Pepper and Onion Turkey Burgers from Top Ate on Your Plate |
Ingredients
- 2 TBSP minced onion
- 2 TBSP minced red pepper
- 1 large clove of garlic, grated
- ¼ cup good quality BBQ sauce
- 1-2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 20 oz of lean ground turkey meat
For serving
- Whole wheat buns
- Sliced tomato
- Sliced avocado
- Caramelized onions
- sliced cheese
Directions
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Combine onion, red pepper, garlic, BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce and bread crumbs in a mixing bowl. Then add turkey meat and use hands to incorporate. Form into 6 small or 4 large patties.
- Grill turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side. Serve warm on whole wheat buns with all the fixings!
