Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte from Top Ate on Your Plate |
Makes one 10 oz latte
Ingredients
- ½ cup milk (any %)
- 2 TBSP pure pumpkin
- 1 ½ tsp light brown sugar
- ¼ tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup hot strong brewed coffee or 1 shot of espresso
- milk and sugar to taste
- whipped cream (optional)
- freshly grated nutmeg (optional)
Directions
- Whisk milk, pumpkin, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla in a small saucepan over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes. The purpose is to combine and heat, not cook. So, once the milk starts steam, remove from heat.
- Pour over strong coffee. Add more milk and sugar if desired. For an indulgent treat, scoop a dollop of whipped cream and grate nutmeg over top.
