  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups flour

  • 4 drops of blue food coloring
  • desired decorations (I used orange sugar sprinkles)

  1. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs.  Add flour, baking powder and salt and combine by hand.  Form into a ball and refrigerate for 1-24 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll out dough on a floured surface with floured rolling pin to ¼ inch thickness.  Cut cookies with desired cookie cutter and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake for 6-8 minutes.  Let cool completely.
  4. Combine frosting with food coloring and mix until streaks disappear. Frost using a butter knife. Refrigerate for at least an hour or until frosting sets.
